Reverse transcriptase

Ever since Watson and Crick worked out the structure of DNA and how it could replicate, it was thought genetic information flowed only one-way from DNA to RNA. Now an enzyme named reverse transcriptase was discovered, demonstrating the flow of genetic information from RNA back to DNA.
