Fermi-dirac statistics

Pauli's exclusion principle showed that Bose-Einstein statistics only applied to particles with integral spins, not those with half-value spins like protons and electrons. New statistics called Fermi-Dirac were developed for these particles, now known as fermions. Particles like protons and electron are called fermions in honor of Fermi.
